Geometric Rugs

Geometry may or may not have been your favorite subject in school, but the geometric shapes you learned about in class make for great area rug styles. Many different styles and colors are available in geometric rugs.

If you can think of a basic geometric shape, then chances are there is a rug with that shape worked into the design. The design may consist of only one shape, whether used once or in a repeating pattern, or there may be several different shapes worked into the pattern.

Many different decorating styles can use geometric rugs; you have to find the right rug for your style and your personality.

Look for bold colors and patterns if you are looking for a geometric rug for a contemporary home. Search for subtle patterns and shades for a casual home. Casual homes need some flash as well and there is no better way to get it than with a geometric rug.

Tribal rugs are also often known for being very geometric. If your home is decorated in a country theme or in the southwest style then you may want to look at rugs with a tribal appearance.

Geometric rugs come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and patterns. When choosing one of these rugs, look not only for colors that best fit your décor, but also for a shape that feels the best to you as well.
