Staging a Home to Sell : Tackle Home Improvements


Pay attention to detail. If your screens are hanging off the doors or windows, replace them. They are very inexpensive to replace but expensive to keep in terms of getting the sale or not.

Likewise, small things like burnt out light bulbs when a buyer is wanting to look around a room or in a closet can leave them with the impression that you do not care about your home and maybe they shouldn’t either.

If you have been used to living with having to hold the handle down for a bit to flush the toilet, remember that a buyer isn’t going to be so forgiving. Replace it. It’s an easy fix and an inexpensive one.

Walk around your home with a pen and paper and make note of all the little things you’re used to ignoring and get them fixed. The little things could be the reason a buyer chooses your home over another.
